Photography

As I look through my daily blog reads I am struck by how lucky we are to be able to photograph everything. But then I think, what happens to all of our pictures? Our online lives? It's weird to think about, we are creating these lives that live on, past us.
I am always a bit saddened by the fact that I've only seen one video from my childhood. There are a few photos that are iconic and remind me of my childhood, but nothing like the kids of this generation will have.
But how often will they look at them, will it help them to remember more? Sometimes I think I'm a bit of a fatalist because I wonder what really matters? Would our lives be any different if we couldn't record anything? Probably not.
But then I remember the joy I get from taking a good photograph, and how I love looking back through my albums.
In Eurydice he said, "We've known each other for centuries, I want to reminisce."
That was my favourite line.
I love to reminisce, and I feel as though we've known each other for centuries. I am so lucky.
