Six Months

How has the first half of your first year already gone by?
I can't believe it, I lose track of the days. I just stare at your sweet face, and soon I'll be chasing you around. You're already on the move, you just haven't figured out how to use your hands to propel you forwards, instead of backwards.
I might have to break this up into a couple posts and they'll be out of order, but I need to get these pictures up or they might get lost in the unorganized mess that is the computer.

8 Weeks

So I should be asleep but there is a load of diapers in the wash that I really want to hang up once they are done because I need them for tomorrow. Also, Neville is sleeping on me and I need to get him a new diaper for tonight... ugh the struggle. But I wanted to document today before it is over because it was a good day. We went to Mayne and bought (another) Volvo.
Well, a few weeks have gone by but I am back here. I have two sleeping babies, looking after #3 from upstairs, and feeling like I should be productive. Although a nap also sounds good, but I'm finding it nearly impossible to nap these days.
So we bought a Volvo. Neville was an angel baby, as per usual. He really hates the car seat but we are able to go on his schedule. If we can get him to sleep in it we get nearly an hour, sometimes more, of driving time. We had a delicious lunch at a restaurant, treats from the bakery, and took the afternoon ferry back. There a man gave us the best danishes I've ever had. I think he felt bad for being irritated by us in the beginning of the trip when Neville was whining.
These last few weeks have flown by, and Neville is getting bigger and stronger and chattier every day. I can't believe how much I love him. I haven't weighed him for a while but he has to be well over 13 pounds now. He is constantly wanting to pull himself up into sitting, then standing, over and over and over again. Which means he's having pretty good naps.
I've begun swaddling him at night, since he's such a flailer. He still gets out sometimes.
Last weekend was Easter, we spent two nights in Parksville with Kyle and Jackie, had dinner with the family, and our newest nephew was born on Saturday morning. We went to C.R. to meet him, then stayed in Bowser that night. P & D were in Vancouver so we stayed at their place. Rich, Brittany and Sonora came over for dinner and brought tacos. Sonny has the loudest voice and is hilarious. She hung out with Will while we ate our tacos and just kept screeching away. I am so excited for all the adventures they can have as they grow up together.
Ahh, new born, very very new.

Meeting Daina for the first time.

3 days old, the only time he fit in the toque. Just opening his eys.

This little yellow toque made him look extra jaundiced, but it was the best.

Meeting Sonny for the first time. BFFs.

First out of the house midwife check up. We searched high and low for small enough socks. We finally found them at Abra Kid Dabra in Oak Bay. He outgrew them in about a week.

Stretching out that long neck.

Photo shoot with Alex.

I was able to lay him down for a few minutes. Longer and longer stretches every day. I still don't like to put him down, but it is nice to get dinner made.

Going for his hearing test in my favourite sweat suit ever. He passed right away.

Meeting his cousin!

He already fills out this bassinet. He will have outgrown it so soon.

Don't let it fool you, he hates the soother.

First beach day, a sunny Sunday in March.

First Tula carry, turned into a fairly stressful day. He was not too happy.

Cousins!

Yoga baby.
