On to Friday the 13th

So I have a few pictures to post for my 365 days. Unfortunately I have to begin with a self portrait because that's all I did that day.

This is a beautiful dress, and I need to remember it.

Our clothing drive, $150.00 isn't bad for a day's work.

Girl's night dinner and games. So good.

New skill learned at Girl's Night, knitting.

This was a good week. I had J.J. at 5 am this morning. So it feels like it's time for bed. I think I will pull out the futon pretty soon and put a movie on. We did a big grocery shop yesterday, I accomplished some things that I needed to, and now I'm on to another week. There's an essay due on Friday that I haven't begun. But, as per usual, I will get it done. But not tonight, tonight is for rest.

A Picture A Day

So one of my New Year's resolutions was to try to take a picture a day. I would like to do a picture an hour post too, we'll see how that goes. I also want to do more free writing.
Day 1 gets extra pictures because Will and I went for a walk (after having the most random and amazing run in with C&C.) and took our cameras to the trails.
So...01/01/12

So far I've been good on taking a picture every day. I'm trying to take my camera out more so that I don't have so many pictures of things in the apartment!
Off to do some home work, or watch Grey's Anatomy.

Rewind To Christmas

I didn't really take many pictures this holiday. I was busy being really lazy.
But I did try to make some cool effects...

Will making the Christmas Turkey. He's now on turkey duty after his impressive Thanksgiving turkey.

Sleep

I don't know what possessed me to come on here at this hour. I know it's not even late but I should be asleep. I have to wake up extra early to catch the bus tomorrow, and I am not looking forward to it. I can at least sleep with Will's secret words tucked away into my pillowcase tonight. I'm back to having James, and boy did I miss him. He is such a ham. I just want to squeeze him all the time.
I sometimes wonder if this blog will ever change from being my personal space to something I share. It's something I've been thinking about for a while now. I have so much else going on.
School, fundraising, family, life, work.....the list goes on. But for now, sleep must take priority.

So Far So Good

So far I've stuck to my picture a day. I'll have to do a photo upload next week. Over the holidays I was so lazy. The most work I did was snow shoe one day, and work on the boat. I drilled holes in all of the frames and helped put in a few of the frames as well. It was extremely satisfying work. I can't wait for the summer. Although when I move onto the boat it will mean that Kenya is over. This is a big year.
We went downtown yesterday and strolled around for hours. We had coffee at Sitka, then went down to their old store and found a few good deals. New jeans for W and two shirts for me for less than the original price of one of my shirts. Gotta love closing down sales. I also bought myself a travel journal to plan and organize my trip.
We had a relaxing night and tried to go to bed early to be rested for today. However, that was not easy. I rolled around for hours. This morning was pretty hilarious. We had to do dance. Good thing we all know each other all ready.
We did our secret santa gift exchange today before Literacy. Kristen had me and gave me a gift card to Staples to get supplies for the students in Kenya. So sweet. Jayne got a travel journal! Our cohort is so great.
I've decided to begin free writing again. Being in Literacy this afternoon made me miss the one English class that I dropped. I was thinking about how we did free writing on cabbage, and I actually really liked what I wrote.
It feels so great to be back at school. I love my cohort, and my classes. It's where I feel content. This weekend we are off to Vancouver, where I will hopefully get some fantastic donations. Perhaps Polaroid? Oh, I'd be in heaven.

A Picture A Day

So, I'm off to a good start. However, I don't know if I'll get them up tonight or not. There's people all around and I should be social, but for some reason I'm struggling with that. Maybe this will be an introspective year. I feel as though the last four months have been extremely introspective, and I think that 2012 will be more of the same. I'm on the hunt for new shoes so I can begin running again. I will be working on myself in as many ways as I can. I will mail the cheque to the ortho lady, go to the dentist, run, walk, and try to be as positive as possible. Why is the last one so difficult when I'm up here. Victoria is where I need to be, this month has proven that. After school, who knows. I don't like people to know my plans, I don't know why exactly. I am so private, and it's a choice, so why do I get upset with others who are not private? Not everyone should be the same as me. But, when people change so much it's difficult to sit on the side lines and pretend to be happy for them. I do not know who they are. Maybe I don't know who I am. I don't want to begin this year with negativity. I am not that person. I don't want anyone to think I'm that person.
So, here's to being positive, even when I really don't want to.
