Now What

Yesterday I ran the 10k. 1 hour 13 minutes! I was so hot and sweaty that I became cold. I didn't know that happened! The whole weekend was awesome. It started with work which was so fun it didn't feel like work. W.  was late leaving work so him and N. picked me up. We came home, changed, then headed right back out to O.'s house. I brought potato salad and there was so much food. We ate ribs and wings and chips and mini eggs! So much good delicious food. The horses were awesome. and dogs and an awesome kid. I had just enough to drink, and woke up feeling fine on Saturday. We went downtown, and W. found a book he'd been wanting for years. They were mowing our lawn and it was really loud so we went to the beach to read. My Mom met us there and W. went for a run while my Mom and I drove around. I showed her my school, and we bought a bunch of veggies. We came home, then walked to the liquor store. When we got back W.'s parents and sister were here. We had a drink then went for dinner. Unfortunately it was a really disappointing adventure. We didn't get home until after 10, and I couldn't fall asleep until around midnight. Even then I slept fitfully. D. talked in her sleep and W. did too!
So we were up at 6 on Sunday, we all got ready and walked downtown. I waited in line for the porta potty for about 20 minutes. I was a bit nervous. It took a few minutes to get through the start, but I was able to begin with W. and L. so it made the first 10 minutes awesome. We did the first k in just over 5 minutes. I took my walk break and W. and L. kept on. He only took one in the whole race. Insane. At 5k I was at 36 minutes, and I kept my pace almost perfectly, so I was proud. C. & C. came out and cheered us on which was awesome because that was at about 8 k and I was tired at that point. The last 2 k were so difficult. I was so hot and tired! My Mom took a pretty funny picture of me at the finish, and I look how I was feeling at that moment.
We were all really happy to be done, and had brunch at Milestone's. W.'s foot was really hurting him, so the guys went home and the girls shopped for a while. We didn't get home until about 1:30 and W. and his Dad had gone to the boat show and we were locked out! I was so sweaty and gross and I was getting a headache. I wasn't too sad that everyone left soon after that because I wouldn't have been a very good host.
I had a bath and then we met C. & C. at the park and had the best bocce game yet.  We saw baby ducks and a turtle, W. saved my glasses, then we had an ice cream. C. & C. made us the most amazing burgers for dinner. And W. had seconds of spinach salad. An amazing moment. I made a strawberry rhubarb crumble with whipped cream. We were all in an extreme food coma after that. It really was an amazing weekend. And it felt so long. I worked today, but I was still so tired. I think I will sleep well tonight.
