October

Midterms are here, and I have to wear a coat now. As of yesterday it feels like Autumn. I am growing to like it more and more. I used to dread the beginning of fall, because it meant winter. But now I have things to look forward to all year long. December it will be 7 years for Will and I. I never would have imagined my life here right now. But here I am, waiting for Will to get home from school. Just beginning my post secondary education, (I thought I'd be done by now) But here I am. We are looking for a new place. We received a noise complaint on Friday night at 9:18pm while watching "Get Him to the Greek" with Cynthia. So ridiculous. Plus we want somewhere quieter, and that would allow pets. No matter how I feel about someone else's life, I have to remember my own. I need to turn on lights in here, and it's not even 7:30, the earth's tilt is felt. I love the colour of the setting sky in September and October. This weekend is Thanksgiving, I am on my own, traveling too much as usual. But it will all work out in the end. Always positive.

Bella

Today Cynthia and I spent a few hours with Amy, and darling Bella. It had been months since I visited and I am always so happy when I do. Bella is 9 months old, and so adorable. Amy has been alone for a while, Scott has been on tour, so she's been going a little stir crazy I think. She has a bunch of family visiting from England next week, but then we are going to set up a day when I go and take Bella for a few hours so that she can do something for herself. I can't wait to have daily baby time. I didn't do all of my math homework, but I can do it tomorrow. But I should read my history assignments for seminar tomorrow. Wednesdays are long. Will is at his apprenticeship class on Wednesdays, and he's not home yet. Just waiting!!!

Weekend

I love love love our weekends at home. On Friday we went to Colin and Colleen's. Their friend Guy was visiting. (His girlfriend Tamara was in Vancouver for the night.) Colleen and Guy came up here for a bit while Colin napped. We had a few drinks, then went out to Garrick's Head. Liam and another friend of Colin's met us there. We had a few drinks then went to Rehab. It's funny because we never go to clubs. I felt a bit out of place. Colleen and I ended up coming home around 2 am. Will had misplaced his keys. I was crying walking back to G.H. because my feet were wet and I didn't want to have to sleep on Colleen's floor and ask the building manager to let me into my house the next morning. Luckily his keys were there and we caught a cab outside of the Empress. Will stayed out which was good, he got home around 4 am! Surprising. We spent the last two days relaxing. We bought a dresser at Value Village and now I am rearranging our room. The living room needs it next. We went for a walk and a big bike ride today. The weather was a bit crazy but it was lovely in the afternoon. I love sleeping in and relaxing in pyjamas. Why can't it always be the weekend?

Wedding Photography

On August 28th I went to Vancouver to photograph Quynne's co-worker's wedding. Alex rented a couple of lenses and we shot for 14 hours straight. All in all it was an amazing experience. It made me realize just how hard of a job photography really is. I am happy with how they turned out, but now there are so many ideas that I have for next time.

Some of my favorites.

Home Sweet Home

So on Saturday Will thought it would be a good idea to look at a suite that was for rent in Fernwood. If we BEAUTIFUL. But the move in date was Sept. 15th and we looked at it on the 11th. So there was no way could do it unless we paid hundreds in fees from this place. So anyways, it was complete torture. It was the most beautiful 1200 sq. ft. I've seen. It's also in an amazing neighborhood. Anyways, now these people who are renting it out have emailed us to say that some of their tenants that live in a place on Gorge are going to move out at the end of October. It isn't really in an ideal neighborhood, but the place sounds sweet. So we will go look at it, and we will see....Who knows.

I went to school with Colleen today. All I have is Math 112 on Mon, Wed, & Fri. Tuesday and Thursday I also have Hist 110 and Astr 101. But I rushed home after class today because Will is home sick. So now we are relaxing on the couch. Time for some Deadwood.

Luke and Dad. This is one of my favorite pictures. Luke being a goof. Dad having a laugh. I would gladly have this back. I miss Luke and Jake so much.

First Post

So I know that is what everyone probably titles their original post, but oh well, I am being unoriginal. Just this once. I have no goals for this blog. I think it will be mainly personal. Just something for me to look back on so I can remind myself what life was like before. Before what, I don't know. But I think that this is good enough for now. When I have figured this site out perhaps I can make this a little more exciting.
Bye for now!
